We believe in educating our staff in all hair types, textures and densities. We specialize in curly hair and have been the go-to curly hair salon for over a decade.
We approach curly hair cutting dry and study where the hair lives. What does this mean? It means we ask that you come in with clean, dry hair reflecting your most accurate everyday curl. We use both carving and blunt cutting, depending on goals. Carving the curl creates a softer, more lived in texture by creating a point at the end of your curl. This creates a soft, de-bulking effect. We also practice blunt or straight cutting with curls. This result is fuller and very polished.
We offer two curly haircut services:
Full curl cut.
Hair is generally cut dry. Then the scalp and hair is cleansed and conditioned. Then the hair is styled and set. You can either sit under the dryer or be diffused. This is a full curly cut service from start to finish. Discuss products and styling tips with your stylist. Establish and/or boost your curly routine. This service is recommended for all new clients. Feel free to bring in the products you’re currently using to show your stylist. Photos are always encouraged. When looking for inspo photos, try to find a texture similar to your own. Arrive with hair in natural texture, down and styled, exposing natural curl pattern. This is a customized carving session, every cut is specifically tailored to each clients’ personal curl pattern. Wash, set, and style included. Approximately 90 minutes.
Curl refresh.
This is an express service for the regular client who does not want to be washed and styled. Curls look great today? Is it a wash day? Did you cleanse last night? Come get your haircut dry! Once the cut is complete your stylist will apply a light amount of water or curl refresher and you're out the door! This is not recommended for first time clients. Arrive with hair in natural texture, down and styled, exposing natural curl patterns.
Two options for Refresh curl cut:
Option 1. Haircut and dry style, no wash. 60 mins. OR
Option 2. Haircut and wash, leave wet and air dry. 60 mins.
